Product Review: Bling Up Rose Garden 3D Nail Set

First off, I want to say that I am very excited to be writing this review because I’m glad my first product review of 2017 is a positive one! For those who don’t know, I started a new job back in July working in a custom t-shirt printing/embroidery shop and I have been apprehensive about wearing deco nails at work for fear of them getting trashed. Still, deco nails are one of my favorite things about Jfashion and it was only a matter of time before I caved…so I decided to give it a try with Bling Up, a company I have had great experiences with in the past – they recently got in touch with me about sponsoring a set of nails for me to review, so the timing couldn’t have been better! I’ll go into more detail about how my Bling Up nails stood up to the wear and tear of my job a little further in to the review…but first, let’s take a closer look at what you get when you buy from Bling Up!

The kit includes:
• 1 Full Set of 10 Decorated Nails
• 1 Custom Two-Sided Nail File and Buffer
• 1 Tube of Nail Glue
• 1 Full Set of 10 Adhesive Stickers (for temporary application)
• Assorted replacement pearls and other gems
• 1 Foam Storage Card + Box

I chose the Rose Garden set because I was eager to coordinate them with Angelic Pretty’s Dramatic Rose – the colors are fresh and bright, so they’re perfect for springtime!

Since I knew I wanted to wear these nails for several days, I opted to use the glue instead of the adhesive stickers and I have yet to try these with any of my Bling Up nails (so I can’t comment on them at this time). With other sets from Bling Up that I have worn, I have generally had to replace a stone or two before Day 5…but this time around, I am happy to report that after 10 days of continuous and unforgiving wear I have yet to replace a single decoration. They are sealed very well and I am confident that this set will continue to stand up to my daily routine. The only decoration not included in the spare parts were the large pink bows, which is reasonable in my opinion because they are attached in a way that would be extremely difficult to duplicate cleanly if one was lost.

Note that the cross motif on the right thumb is set slightly crooked, but it is not noticeable when the nails are worn unless both thumbs are being held next to each other.]

Bling Up offers two standard sizes for complete nail sets (M and L), as well as custom sizing. They have two handy guides on their website for measuring your nails to make sure you get the right fit – you can find them here and here! The standard M size suits me perfectly and the nails fit very comfortably. This set is also a great length and I love the square shape of the tips.

My only constructive criticism regarding this set is focused on the stock images; I was surprised to receive these nails and find that the 3D bows are slightly different than the ones in the stock photos and sit much higher on the nail than I expected. They are secured in place very well and I have not been at all worried that they would pop off (at least not without the rest of the nail coming with it!) so that is definitely a plus side to the way they are attached…but if I had known they rested so high I might’ve chosen another set out of concern for accidentally catching them on t-shirts at work. Thankfully this hasn’t been an issue but I have definitely caught them on my pockets more than once and I even broke one the bows on accident by hitting it on my bathroom countertop! It was a very easy fix though because I was able to neatly reattach the broken piece using the nail glue included with the kit. I am admittedly pretty clumsy so I am not going to fault Bling Up for this design or suggest that it be changed, especially since it was overall a very easy thing for me to get used to.

Other things worth mentioning are the timeliness and consistent quality of customer service I always receive from Bling Up. I once placed an order from them that was somewhat last-minute before a convention where they were vending, and they allowed me to pick up my nails at the booth instead of risking expedited shipping which helped ease my overall stress before and during the event. Needless to say, I will definitely be ordering more nails from Bling Up in the future (‘∀’●)♡
